The object of the Association is to provide for the general welfare of young women in the Colony.
The Association is under the Management of a council of ladies, with committees who attend to the Religious, Social, and Educational Work respectively.
The membership is undenominational. Members: subscribe $3.00 a year and are entitled to all the privileges of the Association. Council and subscribing members subscribe $5.00 a year. Those wishing to join are nominated by the Membership Committee and elected by the Council.
The present rooms of the Association are at No. 5, Queen's Road, Top floor. They are visited daily by some lady appointed by the Council, and are open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The Education Committee arrange for a lecture on a stated subject to be given daily, (in a ten weeks" course,) either from 5,30 to 6.30 or from 8 to 9. The syllabus may be found at the rooms.
There is a Bible Class on Tuesday afternoon.
